amfAR Gala: Glam to raise awareness
The traditional amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala is one of the annual highlights during Cannes Film Festival. The gathering has been taking place for 20 years now in the Hôtel du Cap de Cannes. Personalities, influencers and –ehm– rich people from all over the world and from cinema and fashion meet at the French Riviera, and it is the perfect occasion to raise millions of dollars and awareness for a great cause.
This year the charity pulled in $35 million (an unprecedented record), and some lucky bidders have paid for quirky items such a 10,000-year-old mammoth fossil coated in steel or a ticket to outer space with one very special travel partner: Leonardo DiCaprio.
The red carpet was filled with supermodels like Coco Rocha, Karlie Kloss, Rosie Hungtinton-Whiteley or Kati Nescher, who delighted everyone with very personal styling choices. But the overall mood was a parade of smiling faces, designer dresses and colorful hues that brightened up the evening. See what everyone wore here!
