Stunning gowns, flashing cameras, and of course plenty of designers, celebrities, and fashion icons came out to show their support for AIDS research at the fifth annual amfAR Inspiration Gala this week. The event honoured HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, HBO and Calvin Klein for their significant philanthropic involvement in the fight against AIDS.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Karolina Kurkova, Fergie and Miss Universe Gabriela Isler caught our attention as the best dressed attendants. The outfits were equally impressive and… yes it looks like with the warm season coming white dresses are totally having a moment right now.
We love Sarah Jessica Parker’s Schiaparelli chiffon gown, although we’re not entirely convinced it’s the appropiate dress for her. Maybe this explains the plenitude of jeweleries for a dress that calls for light and delicate accessories.
Fergie has had an interesting change of look. Wearing barely no makeup, she chose a minimalist look, donning a white Calvin Klein column gown styled with a gold box clutch.
Karolina Kurkova was dramatic and elegant at the same time by wearing a delicate white silk gown with a sheer yoke and voluminous sleeves accented with floral appliqués and a black ribbon detail from Honor’s Resort 2015 collection.
Miss Universe, Gabriela Isler, looked from a different era in a very interesting long-sleeve nude-and-black dress.
What do you think? What’s your favourite amongst these four amazing dresses?
