Monday night was marked forever as 2014’s fashion frenzy night, as the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York opened its doors to the annual Costume Institute gala.
What some may consider the Oscars of Fashion was by far one of the most flamboyant, couture-filled evenings of this year. Honoring the British-born designer Charles James, as well as the influential American Vogue editor Anna Wintour, there was supposed to be a very strict dressing code that not everybody followed. However, the huge display of elegance –which in juxtaposition to last year’s Punk theme was so obvious- and glamorous ball gowns were all showing just one thing: the celebration of fashion as an art.
